Elf Peeker!

Hi there,
Back with another design using one of the new July Sets, Elf Peeker #858
Such a fun little image, Elf Peeker, Set 858 and I wanted him to be appear peeking out from behind something, so decided to make a step card. To begin with I stamped this little guy in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copics and then fussy cut him out with the Tonic 5" Mini Scissors, leaving a piece to add him to the back of the card front.
You can see the little band of cardstock that I left on the picture below. Then it was time to embellish the little fellow! Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard drops were added to his hat, bauble and bell!
So the background was embellished with Gypsy Red Velvet Glitter and scraps of Super Adhesive Sheets.
I continued with all the panel fronts putting on the adhesive scraps to each fold, then applying the Gypsy Red Glitter.
Our little elf was then decorated with Spirited Green Glitter applied with the Quickie Glue Pen.

Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops were then applied to his eyes for some more dimension.

So here is our little man in all his glittery Christmas glory! The sentiment was punched out using a bubble speech punch, then applied with Versamark and heat embossed with Red Apple ( EP276). The sentiment was done the same way and just fussy cut out. They were all popped up on the card base.
Hope you've enjoyed your visit today? Leave a comment and let me know you did!

Flamingo Christmas!

Hi there, today I'd like to share a fun little Christmas card using two of the July Reveal sets, Winter Flamingos Sets 1 and 2!

I decided to play with these two fun little sets of flamingos and the sentiment. They are still celebrating Halloween, in purples and oranges and are caught off guard with Christmas coming so soon! Sounds like me most years! The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored with different hues of purples and orange Copics.
They were then fussy cut, made easier with the Tonic 5" Mini Snips. Love these little scissors for getting into the detailed areas.
The orange flamingos' shoes and hats were decked out in Nuvo Purple Glitter Markerwhile the purple flamingos are sporting the Nuvo Orange Glitter Marker!
The orange flamingoes got Nuvo Aqua Flow Markers orange scarves and the orange flamingos received purple ones!

Once they were all decked out in their finery, I gave googly eyes to the ones looking straight on and Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew were applied to the other eyes.
For my background I ran a piece of glossy white cardstock through my machine with the Darice Snowflake background and then applied Nuvo embellishment Mousses Coral Calypso and Royal Aubergine (both from the new set of Mousses) with a large dauber, blending the colors in the middle.
Then I tore a scrap of Super Adhesive tape, so that it had a ragged edge and placed it along the base of the cardstock. Stampendous Royal Purple Crushed Glass Glitter was sprinkled over the sticky surface.
Then the new Creamsicle glitter was added to the remaining sticky surface. I burnished both glitters into the tape using the protective backing below my finger tool.
My background was then layered onto glossy card edged with the Nuvo Coral Calypso Mousse and then the Royal Aubergine Mousse was used on the base card.
The sentiment was stamped on glossy cardstock with Versamark and was heat embossed with Concord embossing powder. It was cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched die and was attached to the front panel with purple and white baker's twine. My little flamingos were then arranged on top with Mounting Tape to finish off my card for today.

So, on with my card. First I stamped the sentiment from the new Spirit of Christmas Poinsettias Set 862 in Versamark and then heat embossed with Gold Detail embossing powder. This is a lovely fine powder and it is great for detailed stamps.

Then I stamped the larger image three times in Versamark and heat embossed again with the Gold Detail

I then fussy cut the actual Poinsettia flowers with my Tonic 5" Mini snips. These scissors cut beautifully and they don't get gunky with adhesive which is their best attribute!

I cut the sentiment with the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles and then started to arrange the flowers above and below the sentiment, some attaching with 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and others with Mounting Foam, to give it more dimension.

I used a freebie Poinsettia embossing folder that I received with a magazine. After running the white cardstock through the machine, I sponged on some Indian Gold Nuvo Embellishment Mousse, just to give it some gold highlights.

This was then layered on to Gold Mirror Cardstock. This is difficult to photograph, but looks really nice in real life!

I scored around the edge of a white piece of card to which the Gold Mirror Cardstock was layered. Then the white layer was attached to a gold card base. I then added a few different sized Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Drops around the card to finish it off.

Hope you liked my project and are enjoying seeing the team's creations with this month's fun sets. Next on the hop is our talented Jess.

Classic Birthday Wishes!

Hi there, today I'd like to share a card idea using a couple of the older sets - the Classic Cars Set 599 along with a sentiment from the Wetlands 1 Set 790.
I stamped the car in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored using three Copics. I then cut it out using the Memory Box Cross Stitched Borders die. Before removing the die, I sponged on a little Summer Sky and London Fog. The other layers behind were cut from designer paper and a blue cardstock using the same stitched borders die. I cut out the Spellbinders Ribbon Banner from the middle of the piece of blue cardstock.
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and then heat set with Cerulean embossing powder and was popped up under the image with Mounting Foam.
I wanted to add just a little pizzazz! So I took three diamond pop dots and colored the sides with two of the Copics that I had used in the image. The blue is B34. I then took off one of the protective backings and applied it with Cobalt Glaze Velvet Glitter.
Then I did the same with Copic Marker E31 and Golden Wheat Velvet Glitter.
The other protective backing was peeled off and then the diamonds were stuck to the top of the image.
That finished up my card for today. Today I'd like to join in the following two challenges:
Scrapyland Challenge 69: Anything goes using die brands that Scrapyland sells.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge 131: Do it for the Dudes

Here is a list of the supplies used from the Sparkle N Sprinkle store:

Lovely You!

Hi there,
Today I'd like to share another card with you using the Swallowtail Butterflies Set 856.
I had received this background die (Spellbinders Contemporary Diamonds) in a surprise package and was wondering what to do with it, so decided to use some of the Sparkle N Sprinkle Velvet Glitters along with the inlay technique.
I layered a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet on a piece of white cardstock. I then put the cutting edge of the die down on top of the SAS. This has the machine use the die to cut into the adhesive but not all the way through the cardstock underneath. I removed the outline of the pattern. The die was then run through again on top of a blue piece of cardstock. I removed the "blue area" of protective backing and placed the blue die cut piece in its place.
There was another smaller die to the set and I cut that out from the inside of the square.
I then removed the protective backing of a few pieces of the die and added Jasper Blue Velvet Glitter. Ballerina was then added to other areas.
Dogwood and Hyacinth glitter were then added in the same manner.
A piece of Embossable Acetate was added to the back of the card front where the little window is and then a little "well" was made using Mounting Tape. Royal Purple and Fucshia Crushed Glass were put into the well before being covered over with cardstock.
The protective backing was removed from the top portion of the card front and a little of both of the Crushed Glasses were sprinkled on before Cloud Nine Velvet Glitter was added to the remaining sticky adhesive. Cloud Nine was also added to the base section of the card.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Danube Blue directly on top of the Cloud Nine at the base of the card. The card front was then layered to a piece of blue card stock with mounting tape as the window was up from the base. This was then layered to a white card base.
The butterfly was a left over piece from my butterfly card earlier this month. It was stamped in Versamark on Embossable Acetate and heat embossed with Cerulean. After being fussy cut with the 5" Tonic Mini Scissors, it was attached to the front with mounting tape.
Here is a list of the SNS products used:
Cerulean Embossing Powder
Versamark, Memento Danube Blue
Velvet Glitters: Cloud Nine (GM2000), Ballerina (GM2024), Hyacinth (GM2028), Jasper Blue (GM2012), Dogwood Rose (GM2021)
